S.
Department of Energy's Office of Legacy Management (LM) mission.
This position provides leadership, project management, and oversight in the areas of quality improvement, training, regulatory and contractual compliance, and performance measurement.
This position is required to travel and be in the field up to 10% of the time.
Primary responsibilities and
Essential Functions:
Conduct management and independent assessments.
Review and approve corrective action plans.
Manage and track assessments, issues, and corrective action plans in the electronic assessment and issue management system.
Support individuals at all levels of the LMS organization to implement quality assurance requirements.
Support the requirements management process.
Independently plan and conduct compliance assessments.
Liaise with subcontractors and other external organizations that conduct audits or assessments of LMS activities or programs.
Conduct fact finding and casual analyses.
Provide senior level guidance on issues.
Train Junior QA Specialists under the directions of the QA Manager.
Administer the LMS Contractor assurance system.
Other duties as assigned.
Work experience, skills, and capabilities needed :
Skilled at descriptive statistical analysis, database development, technical inspections, technical writing, or project management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Technical knowledge, certifications/licenses, and software proficiency required:
Knowledge of electronic issues tracking systems or similar electronic database solutions.
Experience conducting compliance audits or assessments.
Certified Lead Assessor/Auditor.
Valid driver's license.
Required Education and Years of
Experience:
Bachelor's degree inEnvironmental/Engineering/Quality or related fieldwith a minimum 5 years related experience.
3 of the years' experience must include at or above the level of QA Specialist/Engineer I or an advanced degree.
Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
