Manager, Systems Engineering - Space Products

Essential Functions:
Work directly on programs 75% of the timeWork under consultative direction against annual goals and objectivesApply domain expertise on programs.
Maintain domain competency and apply it through mentoring, collaboration, or individual task execution on programs.
Define, maintain, and improve development processesDevelop direct reports through plans, coaching, and mentoringActively support all phases of staffing and provide input on hiring activities for the team, including candidate identification, screening, interviewing, and selectionProvide input on hiring, promotion, performance and/or compensation decisionsGenerate formal performance reviews with each staff member.
Support personalization of annual goals with staff member.
Take an active role in the professional development of each staff memberProactively mentor, coach, assist, and/or provide additional help to engineers in the analysis, design, build, integration, test, validation, verification, documentation, and/or maintenance of products.
Foster a team culture of Continuous ImprovementManage 8-12 direct reportsMust be able to travel up to 10% of the time when necessaryMust be able work extended hours if required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer or related Engineering discipline with a minimum of 9 years of test systems engineering and electronic design experience or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years prior test systems engineering and electronic design experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior test systems engineering and electronic design experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience designing test systems to test Satellite communications, Launch Vehicle Control, and/or Military Aerospace Electronic Circuits.
Experience developing software for test systems.
Experience with managing 8
direct reports.
Broad knowledge of electrical engineering disciplines with hands-on experience.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance, which requires US Citizenship, if needed in the future.

$74 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
